Our People
Effective with the 2018 Annual General Meeting, the Alberta Federation of Agriculture will be governed
by no fewer than seven and no more than thirteen members serving on the Board of Directors. Our directors will be elected primarily from the Producer membership class, with a maximum of 25% of the total number of directors being elected from the Commodity Group, Non Profit or Associate memberships. Patron members are not eligible to be nominated for director positions but may be appointed by the board.
As a grassroots organization, AFA sets its direction through resolutions brought forward to the AGM from 15 regions across the province for debate and discussion by AGM delegates.
